I completely agree with your point, Omani's should contribute to Wikipedia to make it richer with information on Oman.

The fact that one can edit Wiki becomes a mixed blessing for it and us, this is the reason why the Universities are not accepting as a resource for the researches! But if I recall, long back a Wiki employee in France said in due time, Wiki's content will be analysed (authenticated) and made into a reliable source of information..but scrutinising such vast amount of info may take eons!
till then if we actually bother about the genuineness of the information..we have to go to other options like Encarta or Britannica.

You got that right. What you just wrote has kindled the motivation in me to write about our country, not to forget the institutions we're studying in, our hangouts, our people, etc.
