Swype

I learnt about Swype from TechCrunch, this is a new in-put method for touch-screen and pointer based devices that truly sounds like the next generation of text input. It was invented by the collaborative work of the inventor of the T9 dictionary and the Windows on-screen keyboard for Windows Mobile. This technology lets you type by swiping your finger across a on-screen keyboard to input text instead of tapping on the keyboard as used in all touch screen devices.
Here is a link to their official website.

LIT, even if you use shortcuts in T9, you can add words to the dictionary so that they are recognised when you type them later. The same thing can be done with swype.

I was thinking about it, and here's the thing. My T9 has been off since the day I bought my mobile. Why? Because I use a lot of shortforms and sms jargons. Cant they make something for that ? And for official thing, I call them up.

Diablo, the technology is gesture based and it will recognize the words even if you are not very accurate.

    O.O
Amazing stuff! Even though looking at the guy type so fast might make it look too easy to handle, i feel its going to take its time for you to get used to it without adding these extra characters by mistake.

I saw it on cnet. Its truly amazing. Its one of those inventions that make you think "now why didn't I think of that". Just see how fast the person is typing.. Great.. !!
