Book: Getting Things Done – David Allen

February 23rd, 2007 | Posted in Books

I’ve never been big on the self-help books, but after hearing and reading so much about David Allen’s Getting Things Done I had to check it out myself. GTD goes beyond theoretical motivational and productivity books in that it illustrates very specific methods for clearing our minds from all the things that pop into our lives and processing those things into a trusted system that we could use to get things done. I completed the book this week and I should start implementing the GTD model starting from tomorrow when I get back to work.

I ordered by book from Amazon, I couldn’t find the book around here, but a friend of mine told me that he got his copy from Turtles Bookshop (the staff searched the catalogue and located the book in the Airport branch).

Please let us updated on how you are doing with the techniques mentioned in the book :)

I only starting applying this technique recently, describing examples could be very lengthy, I am sure that it is possible to read some of the chapters of the book on Amazon.

Hmmm interesting it does look! So Blue Chi, is the book of any help so far if u've started applying the methods?

Wanna share some examples? That would be great...thanks.

I have not been to a book exhibition for the last five years or so, I usually get my books from Amazon.co.uk, I am not really sure if I'm going to find anything that would be of any interest to me in the upcoming exhibition, but I plan to go visit it to check.

I got my book from abroad, I know someone who got his from Turtles, but I do not know if they have any other copies of it left. It's a really great book, I already started applying the system at work, I'll see how it goes.
