We've gone out for lunch on some green field near some famous mountain
(atin mountain). We're sitting in some tent (quiet a nice one
actually.) the weather is nice and we're waiting for lunch to be
served. Strangely, we were served coffee before having the actual
meal.

Urgh, today's lecturer ended up being way too silly and wasted a crazy
amount of time passing jokes and answering irrelevant questions, and
just as expected we did not finish the material expected to be
covered.
We're going to some mountain to have lunch there, there people don't
understand how to serve a proper meal. I am so not in the mood for
this, no idea why i'm going. (probably because there is nothing else
to do). I did not ever bring my camera, even though I involuntarily
carried with me spare batteries.
Currently waiting at the hotel lobby waiting for the tour bus to get here.

To our disappointment, no pan-o-chocolates were served, we could not
believe it and asked one of the waiters and he confirmed that we won't
have it today.
Chatted with two Bahraini participants, one is a partner at this
international auditing firm, he's so old and can't hear probably,
yesterday I sat next to him at lunch, (which was not what I expected)
but yeah, did some networking finally, you never know, might decide to
move to Bahrain one day! :-p

The lecturer is pretty good and he has a lot to teach, but the
audience is so stupid and do not get the idea that this workship is
about contract drafting and not the actual content of the example
clauses. They are really getting on my nerves.

We're in a new room today with a new lecturer, he is very different
from the previous one, he's egyption with so much attitude. Sounds
funny.
We're having a practical session in contract drafting, he's supposed
to be the master of legal drafting in Arabic and English.
BTW, I'm already very sick of Salalah, can't wait to get back home.

Just realised that i'm titled my previous two posts day 2, when it's
in fact day 3 in salalah and day 2 for the workshop. We should break
for the day in an hour or so, people here seemed to have forgotten
that this workshop is on drafting contract and not the subject of the
sample contract (exclusive licensing agreement). I don't agree on so
many points the speaker believes in.
WE FINISHED, it's lunch time.

Just had the first break, the Hilton in Salalah serves the best
pane-o-chocolate (dont know how to spell it) ever!
The first session was not so great, the discussion dragged into the
topic of alternative dispute schemes, which is not really the point of
this workshop.
We're going through a sample contract at this moment, this should be
quite interesting.

Another mobile blog post, I think mobile blogging is really cool.
Suprisingly it's raining today, very cloudy and hopefully it'll
continue for the rest of the day.
Now in the conference room. I have no plans on networking at all
during this event, Omani people are so horrible with networking,
you'll go up to them introduce yourself and stuff, they'll reply
saying 'wa3laikum alsalam', somehow they don't understand that they
are supposed to introduce themselves in return.
The seminar is starting now, will blog some more later.

I'm really sorry for not making a proper update today, I'm really
exhausted in bed right now posting this from my phone. I had a
relatively okay day, the first session of the workshop was bad, the
guy was reading his speech from paper monotonously. We broke at 2,
there was no lunch meal, and that my friends is really really bad in
BC's book. I decided not to go on their tour today, my hotel is pretty
far and I had to go eat. I'm going on their tour tomorrow cause we're
having lunch over at the hotel. We're saying more than RO 400 per
person for this four day event and their not serving us lunch
everyday, talk about good value deals.
The khareef is officially over today, the sun is out, it's hot, barely
any clouds over town. I ate at a lebanese restaurant, i'll post the
review tomorrow, came back tired of the sun, kinda fainted on bed, got
up after an hour, read a bit, went out with a friend to a coffee shop,
drove around town, had some coconuts, had some halwa, checked out the
beach, got back to the hotel around 10.
I barely had any energy to pray, can't believe I wrote all this, good
night people!
